Our very own Dr. Louis Chude-Sokei has been invited to participate in the 15th Annual Gwangju Biennale, the largest art event in Asia. This year's event is entitled Pansori: A Soundscape of the 21st Century, after a Korean genre here used to explore globalization, technology, and climate change by way of our relationships between sound and space. He will be one of 72 artists and thinkers from 30 countries.
Dr. Chude-Sokei's lecture will be co-sponsored by the Guggenheim Museum, and he will also perform in collaboration with famed sound artist and composer Marina Rosenfeld. More information about the symposium and the Gwangju Biennale can be found in the attached flyers and this link below…
